A Tip for the backcountry enthusiasts are the sunny, south facing high mountain trails and hillsides in and around Merano 2000.

Tip: backcountry ski tour over the Tschoegglberg mountain range in one day
Start in Hafling/ Falzeben – Waidmannalm hut – Meran Hut – long distance trail E5 to the Voeran Ridge – descent via Leadner alp to Hafling village – from there back by bus to the point of departure Falzeben.
